Evidence Based Management
Why Evidence Based Management?
Do you have a vision? Do you have goals? Do you have a strategy to effectively reach your goals with minimum risk?
Do you have motivated teams that understand your goals and develop solutions autonomously to reach them?
Are your customers happy or is there a satisfactory gap?
Evidence Based Management (EBM) addresses all these questions.
EBM is an empirical approach that helps organizations
to continually deliver value for customers and to improve organizational capabilities and business results under uncertain conditions. In an uncertain world it provides organizations with a framework for improving their ability to delivering value en route to strategic goals.
Through targeted experiments and evidence (measurements), EBM enables organizations based on ever better
information over time to systematically improve their performance and achieve their goals refine.

Value
What really counts for customers is value. This can mean more sales, but also more satisfaction or greater efficiency. It is crucial to know the current value, but also the unsatisfied value. This gap needs to be closed in order to satisfy existing customers or maybe create new customers.
EBM provides a framework to determine the current and unrealized value.
Capabilities
To close the customer satisfactory gap the organisation has to improve its capabilities Time To Market (T2M) and Ability To Improve (A2I).
In the rapid changing world organisations must be able to deliver their products, features or services very fast to survive in the competitive market.
Also the efficiency to implement innovations has to be ensured to gain crucial insights if the market adopts the new ideas.
Strategy
An Agile Coach helps to create an empirical strategy to reach the following types of goals: Strategic goals, intermediate goals and tactical goals. The kernel of a strategy is a set of coherent and measurable actions to reach these goals. The evidence of the measurements lead to adjustments of further actions or goals to reduce risk while delivering the right value.
“There is surely nothing quite so useless as doing with great efficiency what should not be done at all.” (Peter Drucker)
